Our Beliefs
Orchid Endowment Fund is founded with the vision of being able to support single mothers through their battle with cancer. Hidden costs such as unexpected copays, childcare, and travel/lodge related to treatment can add significant stress to a family’s journey. We are committed to providing support throughout the entire way to keep families on their feet and focused on getting the best care possible without sacrificing their family’s financial future.

We’re proud to share in 2025 we have awarded our fourth grant to a single mother, completely covering her out-of-pocket cancer treatment expenses.
“Through all of this, I must keep a brave face for [my 8-year-old son] and show him that I am okay, and we are okay, but inside, the financial stress and worry on top of worrying for my health has been slowly crushing me.
I will never be able to thank Orchid Endowment Fund enough for this. I felt like I was drowning right before we had gotten in touch, and now I can get my head back above water. I will forever remember this blessing[…].”

Sustainability of Annual Grants
Compared to a series of individual fundraisers which are immediately dispersed, the endowment fund route provides a way to preserve and ensure our impact year after year.
Complete and Comprehensive Support
Our goal is to completely support families through treatment. Meaning simply, we aim to cover post-insurance costs related to a family’s bout with cancer.

The source of the grants benefitting families battling cancer will ultimately be the money raised through various contributions. Please understand that no amount is too small to make an impact. If you are not in a place to contribute monetarily, please consider other ways to help out.
